Nestled in the heart of the Abernethy Forest, Nethy Bridge is known as the Forest Village. There are miles of walking routes for all abilities in the Cairngorms Adventure Playground, including accessible paths, leading to stunning viewpoints. This is an outdoor paradise.
Situated right on the Speyside Way, the options for hiking are endless. With the Cairngorms within easy reach, if you’re a climber, hiker, or Munro bagger, you can spend the day outdoors and spend the evening in front of a roaring log fire.
A mecca for cyclists! There are many options locally for all ages and abilities to take to their bikes on or off road. Further afield there are purpose built trail centres at Glenlivet (30 mins drive) and Laggan (60 mins drive).
Nethy Bridge is in the perfect for accessing two of Scotland’s ski centres, with both Cairngorm Mountain and The Lecht being about 30 minutes drive away.
Surrounded by the Abernethy Forest, a few miles away from Loch Garten where osprey are known to nest, and with the mighty Cairngorms a short drive away. This is an adventurers playground.
History and Legend
Visit a 4,000 year old burial site, keep your eyes peeled for a legendary loch monster, admire the ruined splendour of an historic army barracks, and reflect at the site of the last pitched battle on mainland Britain, all on the same day!
Speyside is world famous for its whisky. With more than 50 distilleries, it has the highest concentration of whisky producers in the world. Touring with our partner company Whisky Trails is easy as it is based right next door to Bothan Beag!
